  • ½ cup (1 stick) unsalted butter
  • 12 ounces white chocolate chips
  • 7 ounces marshmallow creme
  • 1½ teaspoons buttered rum flavoring
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ¼ teaspoon salt

Method
 

  1. Line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. Measure all ingredients before heating.
  3. Combine butter, sugars, cream, and salt in a saucepan.
  4. Bring to a boil and cook to 234–236°F.
  5. Remove from heat and let stand 1 minute.
  6. Stir in white chocolate chips until melted.
  7. Mix in marshmallow creme until smooth.
  8. Add buttered rum flavoring and vanilla.
  9. Beat until thick and slightly less glossy.
  10. Spread evenly into the prepared pan.
  11. Refrigerate for 2 hours.
  12. Slice into 36 squares and serve.

Notes

  • Use a candy thermometer for the most dependable results.
  • Don't stir once the mixture reaches a full boil.
  • Wipe sugar crystals from the sides of the pan with a damp pastry brush if needed.
  • Beat only until the mixture thickens and begins to lose its shine.
