- Gather your ingredients and tools before starting.
- Mix softened butter with minced garlic and garlic powder until smooth.
- Spread garlic butter evenly across one side of each bread slice.
- Simmer beef broth with Worcestershire sauce, then warm the roast beef in it for 3-4 minutes.
- Toast bread butter-side down in a hot skillet, 2-3 minutes per side.
- Layer 2 slices of provolone on each toasted slice.
- Top cheese with warm roast beef, about 4-5 ounces per sandwich.
- Broil 1-2 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Close sandwiches with a second slice of toast and press gently.
- Strain remaining broth into dipping cups.
- Slice sandwiches diagonally and serve with warm jus.
Notes
For extra flavor, add a splash of French onion soup mix to the broth. Leftover jus keeps in the fridge for up to 2 days and reheats well on the stove.
